Questions
What it is, and what it isn't.
Do I need a wearable?
No. Your reading of the morning is the entry, and the record rules from that alone. If you wear an Oura, Whoop, Apple Watch, Garmin or anything that gives a readiness or recovery score, you can add it.
What is a ruling?
The day, read three ways: Full Capacity, Managed, or Recovery. It comes from your reading, your score if you have one, and your own recent days, never from other people's. Three short lines say why.
Is this medical?
No. AEGIS is a wellness record. It makes no diagnosis and no treatment claim, and it never tells you what to do. It says what your record supports; the decision stays yours.
What if my feel and my score disagree?
Your reading wins. A Heavy morning is ruled a Recovery Day whatever the number says; a Good morning on a low score is held at Managed. The record keeps both, so the disagreement itself becomes something you can see over time.
When does the beta open?
Soon. A small group is using it first to find what's broken. The beta list opens after that.
Your data
What it collects, and where it's kept.
What it collects
How your body feels each morning, and a note if you write one. The score from a sensor, if you connect one: typed by you, or, if you connect Oura, read from Oura each morning (the daily readiness score only, disconnectable from Your record). The ruling AEGIS makes from those, and the words it writes to explain it. The four onboarding answers, if you give them.
Where it's kept
A database hosted by Supabase on Amazon Web Services in the United States (Virginia). Each row is tied to your account, and the database itself refuses to show it to any other account. That was tested before anyone was invited.
Who can see it
Your account. As the builder, Kianni holds administrator access to the database, which means your entries and notes are stored in a form she could read. That access is not used to read individual records. Encrypting notes on your phone, so that only you hold the key, is being built.
If someone asks for your record
AEGIS does not hand your record to anyone voluntarily: not an employer, an insurer, the VA, family, or the other side of a dispute. If a court compels it, you will be told first unless the law forbids it, and only what is required is handed over. Until notes are encrypted, that could include them.
Your body note
Stays in your record. It is never sent to a model unless you turn that on, and you can turn it off again. It is never part of any research data.
The written readout
To write each morning's explanation, AEGIS sends that day's numbers and ruling, with a summary of your recent record, to Anthropic's API. Not your name or email, and not your note unless you turn that on. Taken together those details could still point to you, so they're handled as your record, not as anonymous data. Anthropic does not train its models on them, and keeps them for up to 30 days before deleting them.
Your weather
Comes from Open-Meteo for your phone's approximate area. That location is rounded before it leaves the phone and is never stored in your record.
No trackers
No advertising or analytics tools are in the app.
Leaving
Download everything, or delete your account and every record with it. Deleted records leave the live database at once and are gone from every backup within 14 days.
